Finally! Canadian VISA

Hey guys! Here I am again and with good news. I finally received my Canadian VISA. :mrgreen: And as I promised earlier, I’ll explain here how long the process took and, believe me or not, even with all the anxiety I went through, it took only A TOTAL OF 28 DAYS. Whaaaat?!! It seemed so much longer. :lol:Ok! Get your piece of paper and write down what each of these steps and the time taken, so you can schedule when you’re applying for your visa as well.

Excluding the time it takes to organize your documents and the initial Game Design Portfolio to be submitted and reviewed by the VFS itself and then to be approved, pass the oral exam and receive the school documents at home, an average of total time may be based on the times mentioned above. As the time it takes initially may differ from person to person, my post here is based on the moment that you already have the letter of acceptance of Vancouver Film School. And, from what I’ve been reading in the Internet, the total period is on average one month to receive the Canadian Student Visa and Study Permit.

12 days: From the moment that everything was properly sent to the VAC and went through the process of analyzing the forms by the Embassy, before being returned to the VAC with the request and application form for medical examination;

5 days: There were over five days – three working days – for the results of the medical examination to be received and finally sent via FedEx to Trinidad & Tobago;

11 days: Was the time it took the medical examinations to be received in Trinidad & Tobago, be analysed and sent back to Brazil, where I could finally get my Passport with the Canadian Visa in the VAC of São Paulo.

Remember that if you, like me, intend to be able to travel freely around the regions next to Canada, such as the United States, you will be required to obtain the Multiple Entry Visa, which allows you entry as many times you want during the duration of your Visa. I believe that usually the Students Visas with a duration of at least one year are already automatically requested as Multiple Entries, but it’s worth taking a little time and check it for sure to avoid any potential problems. To give an idea of how Canadian Visa looks, I ask you search on the Internet. For safety reasons I’d rather not put a picture of my Visa here on the site.

My next step now is to obtain a U.S. Visa. I’ll not go into much detail about it now, because the focus of my site is not in the United States. But to make a brief summary, the intent of the U.S. visa is 100% in order to visit American cities such as Seattle, that is just a few hours from Vancouver where product prices are much cheaper, because of the prices being in U.S. dollars and not from a tourist city such as Vancouver. Also because with the U.S. Visa in hand, I do not run therisk of problems of any flight connection in a U.S. city. It really is something that is drawn out and complicated for me right now.

E aí pessoal! Aqui estou eu novamente e com ótimas notícias. Eu finalmente consegui meu Visto Canadense. :mrgreen: E como eu havia prometido anteriormente, eu vou explicar aqui quanto tempo levaram todos os procedimentos até finalmente conseguir o visto comigo. E acreditem ou não, mesmo com toda a ansiedade que passei durante esses dias e toda correria que eu tive contra o tempo, tudo levou apenas 28 dias no total. Whaaaat?!!! Pareceu-me que levaram meses. 😆 Ok! Pegue o seu pedaço de papel e anote aí quais foram cada uma dessas etapas e o tempo que elas levaram, para assim você poder se programar quando você estiver tirando o seu visto também.

Tirando o tempo que leva-se para organizar seus documentos iniciais e o Game Design Portfolio para ser enviado e analisado pela própria VFS e, em seguida ao ser aprovado, passar pela prova oral e receber os documentos da escola finalmente na sua casa, uma média de tempo total pode ser baseada no meu tempo citado acima. Como o tempo que leva-se inicialmente é algo mais “pessoal”, esse meu post aqui é baseado a partir do momento que você já tem a carta de admissão da Vancouver Film School. E pelo que andei perambulando pela Internet, é mais ou menos esse prazo total de um mês que todos levam para conseguir o Visto Estudantil Canadense e o Study Permit.

  • 12 dias: A partir do momento que tudo foi enviado corretamente para o VAC e passou pelo processo de análise de formulários pela Embaixada e o retono ao VAC com o formulário de pedido de Exames Médicos;
  • 5 dias: Foram mais cinco dias – três dias úteis – para os resultados dos exames médicos ficarem finalmente prontos, serem retirados pela secretária do Doutor e enfim enviados via FedEx para Trinidad & Tobago;
  • 11 dias: Foi o tempo que levou para os Exames Médicos chegarem em Trinidad & Tobago, serem analisados e enviados de volta para o Brasil, onde pude finalmente buscar no VAC de São Paulo o meu Passaporte com o Visto Canadense.

Vale lembrar que se você, assim como eu, tem a intenção de poder viajar livremente pelas regiões ao redor do Canadá, como por exemplo nos Estados Unidos, deve-se solicitar então o visto de Múltiplas Entradas, que permite sua saída e entrada quantas vezes você quiser, durante o período de duração do seu Visto. Eu acredito que normalmente os Vistos Estudantis com duração de pelo menos um ano já são pedidos automaticamente como múltiplas entradas, mas vale tirar um tempinho e conferir isso ao certo para não ter problema. Para conferirem uma imagem de como é o Visto Canadense, peço que confiram na Internet. Por medidas de segurança eu prefiro não colocar uma foto do meu visto aqui no site.

Meu próximo passo agora é conseguir o Visto Americano. Não entrarei em muitos detalhes quanto a isso agora, porque o foco do meu site não é nos Estados Unidos. Mas para fazer um breve resumo, a intenção do Visto Americano é 100% para poder visitar cidades Americanas, como por exemplo Seattle que fica a apenas algumas horas de Vancouver e possuí preços de produtos bem mais baratos por ser em Dólar Americano e também por não ser uma cidade tão turística como a própria Vancouver. Sem contar que com o Visto Americano eu não corro perigo de se, caso meu vôo precisar fazer conexão em alguma cidade dos Estados Unidos, eu não ter nenhum problema para transitar.
