About Me
My name is Matheus Pitillo, I am 23 years old and I am a Game Design graduate from Brazil (PUC-SP / 2007 – 2009). It is there that I had my first contact with 3D, Games and the Animation development field. Today I am a student of the Game Design Program at Vancouver Film School. Totally in love with writing, film and creation, I am always trying to communicate my ideas through the incredible hypermedia of games.
What makes me more motivated to follow career in this field is the desire to tell stories. Since I was a child I always loved to create worlds and characters. When I learned that I could translate everything that I created to another hypermedia, creating games has become my biggest goal. I have experience as a 3D Generalist and I began the production of a 3D Short Film – Oh! My Zombie. I have also worked with the creation of 3D Environments, Level Design and Game Design at Loopix Games. Even now, this is still my dream.
Born in Goiânia, and having lived in São Paulo for several years until I moved to Canada, I have experience working as a writer for a number of Video Game Magazines (EGM Brasil, Nintendo World), writing articles, interviews and reviews. Of all the areas that I have worked in, the ones that I feel most comfortable with are Level Design and Game Design.
Finally, I am very happy and excited with the opportunity to be a student of the Game Design Program at Vancouver Film School, which began in January 2012. I cannot deny that the idea of living in Vancouver and experiencing another culture attracts me a lot, as well as the opportunity to practice other languages. I feel that I can CREATE and express my identity with VFS. I know I’m capable of it, I know where I am going and I see in VFS a chance to make my dreams comes true.
